I really needed this. My brother(in soul) posted this.
Bible Study went well.
Roughly using the SOAP method my friend Kenzie suggested I was able to go through the bible study and have a much more involved discussion than we have had in a long time. Though I seemed to be really the only one impassioned by the end, but that is ok.
I based the talk off of the gospel of Matthew chapter 5 verses 43 through 48. Most of my talking was about that scripture, though by the end the group had jumped around many topics, but such is the way of a small group.
I pray that I at least changed the way one of them thinks about loving those you hate and who hate you. And also truly setting ourselves apart by our actions and thoughts.
So much more I could probably remember to say but I’ll stop here.
Tonight.
My lifelong friend came over and we sat by the fire in my backyard roasting hotdogs. We talked about life and faith and many other such sings one muses over. I can honestly say he is one of the wisest people I know in my life, and I am blessed to have him as my closest companion.
